Welcome to Sri Lanka.
A warm welcome await you at the arrival lounge of the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake. Your tour guide will give you a brief introduction and commence the trip to Colombo. Check in to hotel rest of the day at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.

The road journey from Colombo to Kalpitiya covers approximately 160 kilometers along the western coast of Sri Lanka. As you travel northwest, passing through picturesque landscapes, the route unveils the beauty of coastal towns and fishing villages. Kalpitiya, situated on a peninsula, is renowned for its pristine beaches, water activities, and vibrant marine life. Consider stopping at Puttalam Lagoon en route for additional natural attractions. Once in Kalpitiya, indulge in kite surfing, dolphin watching, or simply relax on the sandy shores. This journey provides a delightful mix of coastal exploration and natural beauty, making Kalpitiya a sought-after destination for water enthusiasts.

Today, Embarking on the journey from Kalpitiya to Wilpattu National Park, spanning approximately 80 kilometers, promises a transition from coastal allure to the wilderness. Departing the sandy shores, the road winds through rural landscapes, offering glimpses of village life. As you approach Wilpattu, one of Sri Lanka's largest national parks, the surroundings transform into dense forests and expansive wilderness. Consider an early departure for a wildlife safari, equipped with essentials like sunscreen and binoculars. Optional Tour: Sigiriya Rock Fortress Day Tour (Highlight Tour)

Sigiriya, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Sri Lanka, is an ancient rock fortress with a history dating back to the 5th century. Also known as Lion Rock, it served as a royal palace for King Kasyapa, who chose this imposing location for its strategic and defensive advantages. The site features remarkable frescoes depicting celestial maidens and a mirror wall with ancient inscriptions. The ascent to the summit includes remnants of a colossal lion-shaped gateway, giving the fortress its name. After breakfast, you will depart for Dambulla. Embarking on the journey from Dambulla to Kandy, covering approximately 75 kilometers, unveils a transition from the cultural wonders of the Dambulla Cave Temple to the scenic charm of Kandy, Sri Lanka's hill capital. Traverse through lush landscapes, passing small towns and villages en route. As you approach Kandy, the terrain transforms into picturesque hills, offering breathtaking views. Explore the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, nestled beside the serene Kandy Lake. Immerse yourself in the cultural allure of the city, known for its traditional Kandyan dance performances and botanical gardens. The Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, a short distance from Kandy, beckon with their diverse flora. Dress comfortably for the temperate climate, savor local cuisine, and choose accommodations that complement your preferences for a delightful journey through Sri Lanka's cultural heart.

After breakfast, you will depart for Nuwara Eliya. En route, you will explore the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, once cherished by a Kandyan queen. This rose garden, nestled beside a bend in the Mahaweli River, was once the residence of Kandyan princes in the 1st Century. Boasting 4,000 different plant species, it is considered one of the most advanced botanical gardens in Asia. In the afternoon, you will visit a tea plantation and factory for the ultimate tea experience, from plucking young tea leaves to processing in the factory. The tea factory is an ideal place to purchase high-quality tea. Continue to Nuwara Eliya, marvel at the breathtaking views, and check in at the hotel upon arrival.

Tips & suggestions: Please note that you will be ascending to an altitude of 1900 meters, and consequently, the temperature in Nuwara Eliya is expected to range from 20-25°C during the day and 10-15°C during the night. It is advisable to bring warm clothing to ensure your comfort in the cooler climate of Nuwara Eliya.

After breakfast, you are free at leisure. Then you were transferred to the airport for the flight back home.
